Product Description
A very decorative Victorian copy of a German Renaissance bronze roundel. The original depicts Minos and Scylla and is dated 1569. The copy is superbly detailed and must have been taken directly from the original. The work has a good patina and is in the original frame which has a quirky bow to it. The roundel does have some minor pin holes not visible in the frame and a slight nick in the edge. The whole is a great example of electrotype copies made during the Victorian period and has a great period look. C.1880.
Overall sizes in inches, including frame: 8 3/4 diameter and 3/4 deep
