Product Description
A charming and beautiful interior scene by Scottish artist George Davidson 1872-1910. The painting shows a stunning interior in tones of pink and blue, with a breakfast table set for coffee and tea, and a French window in the background looking out to a garden. The painting is in oils on canvas which has been laid to board. The work is in excellent untouched condition. The painting is framed in a vintage fine quality ebonised frame which really works well with the colouring of the artwork.
The painting is signed to the lower right ‘George Davidson’. George Davidson was a Scottish artist based in Aberdeen he had a short career exhibiting between 1903-1910 but was highly successful with works hung at The Royal Academy, The Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, and The Royal Scottish Academy. His work as here has the typical feel of Scottish impressionism.
The whole is in excellent ready to hang condition with an enormous amount of decorative appeal. C.1910.
