A charming little Georgian mahogany wash stand. The wash stand is of typical design with the top pierced to receive a basin and implements pots, and the circular stand in the base to take a jug. The jug and basin would have been pottery. The whole is in good condition with nice figuring to the timber and a good original patina. There are fine touches to the design with the well turned supports and base stretchers, the shaped apron, and chamfered legs. The single drawer is also a useful addition. The whole is a lovely example of the type, in good condition. C.1800.
