A charming oil on panel Summer garden scene by V. Rawlins. The work shows a beautiful garden in Summer centred around a stone sundial surrounded by foxgloves. The frame is a modern ebonised one washed over with gilt. There work is signed and dated to the lower right ‘V. Rawlins 04’. The artist is most likely to be Mrs V. Alex Rawlins who exhibited between 1904 and 1912 she was a Scottish artist who exhibited in Birmingham, Liverpool and once at the Royal Academy.
The work is a beautiful example of garden painting and is ready to hang.
