Product Description
A fine and usable silver plated wine cooler. The cooler is of typical campagna urn shape, with elaborate gadrooning to the edges and with wonderful handles. The original liner is retained and will still serve it’s purpose. There is some wear of the silver and the copper is showing through but it does give it a great tired country house look. There is an engraving to the front which has masonic associations and is dated 1921. I do feel that the wine cooler is older than the engraving and dates more in the Victorian period. There are some marks on the base and are probably for Elkington and Co makes of the finest silver plate. The whole is in good condition and ready to use. C.1880.
