A fine and decorative Dutch satinwood centre table with profuse inlay in exotic woods. The table is of oval shape and stands on four beautifully tapered legs that terminate in gilt bronze ball feet. The piece is veneered in satinwood throughout with a smaller use of kingwood and boxwood for inlays. The table really is a quality piece of Dutch carpentry in the Neoclassical taste. The whole is in excellent condition with some old minor repairs. The original colour and patina are superb. It is finished to the same quality on all sides and would stand perfectly in the centre of a room or as a lamp table near a sofa etc. C.1820.
