Irish Georgian watercolour portrait

Irish Georgian watercolour portrait

£165.00

Charming Georgian watercolour portrait of Thomas Stoney. The portrait, in profile, is well observed with bright original colours. The mount is titled: ‘Thos. Stoney of Aran Hill, Deputy Governor of Co. Tipperary’. The piece looks to have been framed and mounted in the Victorian period and retains the original ebonised frame. The work is in good untouched condition with some light staining and the frame has some minor old repair. The watercolour is an interesting and decorative piece which is ready to hang. C.1800.
Overall sizes in inches including frame: 11 by 13
