A wonderfully charming oil painting dog portrait depicting the head and shoulders of a terrier. The dog is beautifully observed and drawn in a technique that is bold using strong colours and broad, quick brushstrokes. The piece is in excellent untouched condition and is signed to the lower right and dated 1940. Miss M E Hankinson is little known but did exhibit in Birmingham in 1927 and lived in Manchester. The work is framed in the original oak frame with a good colour and patina. The whole is a great decorative piece with a lot of presence and is ready to hang.

We are happy to organise deliveries to all destinations. Delivery of some items will be free depending on size, delivery method, and location. Where charges are made for delivery we try to be as cost effective as possible on your behalf.
